This week we have a couple of items to bring to your attention:

NABO’s FOUR YEAR PLAN.  Our Basque community here in the Diaspora is at a crossroads: what will we choose to define as being Basque in the 21st century?  What aspects of Basque culture will be chosen to emphasize and perpetuate?  Accordingly, NABO is preparing a four-year plan to help focus our energies.  To see what has been developed so far &/or provide suggestions click on:  www.naBASQUE.org/astero.htm

INTERNATIONAL CENTER OF THE BASQUE DIASPORA. The literal creation of the future International Center of the Diaspora in Azkarate (Iparralde) begins July 6th through the 27th.  Participants (those ages 18-35) can help in the rehabilitation and restoration of the Azkarate castle. Participants are responsible for covering for their own airfare, but once they arrive, their expenses are taken care of. Perhaps this may also work with someone who already has plans to be in the Basque Country during these dates and would like to participate.
